Challenges and Opportunities

Water resources are an essential component of hospital operations, supporting sanitation, infection control, medical procedures, and the maintenance of a safe environment for patients and staff.

The Company recognizes the importance of efficient water management across its operations and has established a comprehensive water management policy covering the entire water lifecycle, from water sourcing and treatment to reuse and discharge into the public drainage system in compliance with legal standards. This approach aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and Goal 13: Climate Action. The Company integrates water management into its ESG governance framework, with oversight by the Board of Directors and the Corporate Governance and Sustainable Development Committee, while the Sustainable Development Working Team is responsible for implementation and performance reporting to ensure balanced and sustainable water resource management in the long term. Water Stress Assessment The Company has conducted a water risk assessment of the hospital’s location using the WRI Aqueduct 4.0 Water Risk Atlas (Baseline Annual 1979–2019), an internationally recognized standard referenced by FTSE Russell ESG Ratings, CDP Water Security, and GRI 303-1.

Management Approach and Value Creation

The Company has established water management targets aligned with the Medium–High Water Stress level of the area in which the hospital is located, ensuring that the measures implemented are appropriate to the site-specific water risk context, as follows:

Total Water Consumption Year 2022-2025
Unit : Cubic Meters
Note: The water consumption data covers Building A, Building B, and the Office Building.
Short-term Water Consumption Reduction
(YoY Comparison: 2025 vs. 2024)
+34.5%
Medium-term Water Consumption Reduction
(Compared with the Base Year: 2025 vs. 2022)
+33.1%

The Company has designated 2022 as the base year for calculating and monitoring energy consumption, covering three operational buildings: Building A, Building B, and the Office Building. In addition, the Company reports water-related data, including total water consumption, water discharge, water withdrawal, and water consumption per total revenue, in accordance with GRI disclosure standards.

Water Consumption per Adjusted Patient Day
Unit : Cubic Meters/Adijusted Patient Days
Short-term Water Consumption Reduction
(YoY Comparison: 2025 vs. 2024)
+30.2%
Medium-term Water Consumption Reduction
(Compared with the Base Year: 2025 vs. 2022)
+43.7%
Water Consumption per Total Revenue
Unit : Cubic Meters/Total Revenue (Million Baht)
Short-term Water Consumption Reduction
(Year-on-Year Comparison: 2025 vs. 2024)
+18.1%
Medium-term Water Consumption Reduction
(Compared with the Base Year: 2025 vs. 2022)
+3.4%
In 2025, compared with 2024
  • Total water consumption increased by 34.5%
  • Water consumption per Adjusted Patient Day increased by 30.2%
  • Water consumption per total revenue increased by 18.1%
In 2025, compared with the base year 2022
  • Total water consumption increased by 33.1%
  • Water consumption per Adjusted Patient Day increased by 43.7%
  • Water consumption per total revenue increased by 3.4%

All water used by the hospital is freshwater supplied by the public water utility. The increase was mainly due to the full operation of Building C, the expansion of green spaces, and increased medical activities requiring higher water use.
