Company Position Statement on Climate-related Public Policy

Praram 9 Hospital Public Company Limited supports climate-related public policies that promote greenhouse gas emissions reduction, energy efficiency, the transition towards a low-carbon organization, and transparent, verifiable climate-related disclosures aligned with international standards. The Company recognizes that climate change presents both strategic risks and opportunities that may affect business continuity, operating costs, patient safety, shareholder confidence, and the long-term expectations of stakeholders.

The Company supports government policies and regulatory frameworks that are aligned with Thailand’s transition towards a low-carbon and net-zero economy. In doing so, the Company places importance on measures that are appropriate to the hospital business context, where continuity of medical services, patient safety, and quality of care must be maintained alongside systematic reduction of environmental impacts.

The Company has a long-term commitment to achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2050, prioritizing greenhouse gas emissions reduction at source. This will be pursued through energy efficiency improvements, resource management, consideration of clean or renewable energy where appropriate, development of greenhouse gas monitoring and reporting systems, and engagement with suppliers and stakeholders across the value chain.

The Company supports disclosure of greenhouse gas emissions and climate-related risks under recognized standards and frameworks, such as the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, IFRS S1, IFRS S2, and the TCFD recommendations, in order to enhance transparency, credibility, and comparability of information for investors, regulators, and stakeholders.

The Company has no policy to support any activities, communications, or positions that conflict with its greenhouse gas emissions reduction objectives, low-carbon transition, or Net Zero target. Where the Company communicates, provides comments, or participates in activities related to climate-related public policy issues, it will do so based on transparency, social responsibility, scientific evidence, continuity of healthcare services, and alignment with the Company’s climate change management policy.

The Company will review, at least annually, the alignment between its climate position and the positions of trade associations, networks, or external organizations in which it participates. If any material misalignment is identified, the Company will consider communicating its position, requesting improvement of the relevant approach, or reviewing the appropriateness of maintaining its membership. The Company will disclose the key elements of this position and approach through appropriate channels, such as the Company’s sustainability website or annual report.
